There are three Regeneration Partnerships in Kent. They are:

The Regeneration Partnerships main aims are to manage growth and revive deprived or declining areas. They will help to bring new investment, better transport links and a range of new facilities to these communities.

Despite Kent's economic success; areas of poverty and deprivation still exist. The Regeneration Partnerships hope to attract new prosperity to the poorest areas by providing good housing, well-paid jobs, quality local facilities, accessible transport, and great leisure and cultural facilities.

Some of Kent's towns have faced harsh challenges in recent years. Less tourism and port traffic in particular have meant a decline in the local economy, and in the vibrancy of these places.
